Sir Timothy West was in town to perform with the English Piano Trio at St Peter’s Church, and visited the Salterton Arms with his wife, Fawlty Towers actress Prunella Scales, and a group of friends.
The Salterton Arms’ Nick Stiling said: “Someone rang us about three months ago and said can we book a table for about eight people on Sunday night. I said we don’t normally do food on Sunday night, but would open the kitchen just for them, not knowing who it was.”
